YajuDevStudio built the TouchGuard app as a security, anti-theft, and privacy utility. This SERVICE is provided by YajuDevStudio at no cost and is intended for use as is.

This page is used to inform visitors regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use our Service.

1. Core Offline-First Architecture & Data Privacy

TouchGuard's core anti-theft, motion detection, and app locking features are designed with an Offline-First architecture.

All your security settings, PIN codes, application lockdown configurations, activity logs, and local device triggers are processed and stored exclusively on your local device. Core security data never leaves your device.

2. Detailed Explanation of Android Permissions

To provide robust anti-theft protection and app locking, TouchGuard requests certain sensitive system permissions. In compliance with Google Play Developer Policies, here is why each permission is required and how it is used:

1. Usage Access / Package Usage Stats (android.permission.PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS)

Purpose: Required for the App Guard feature. This permission allows TouchGuard to detect which foreground application is currently running, enabling the app locker to instantly protect and lock sensitive applications from unauthorized access.

2. Display Over Other Apps / System Alert Window (android.permission.SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW)

Purpose: Required to display lock screens and security trap overlays instantly on top of protected applications whenever an unauthorized user attempts to open them.

3. Camera & Microphone (android.permission.CAMERA, android.permission.RECORD_AUDIO)

Purpose: Used locally on your device for security features such as capturing intruder snapshots during unauthorized touch/motion alarms, or analyzing acoustic sound patterns (such as clap detection via local MediaPipe models) to locate your phone or trigger anti-theft alarms.

4. Biometric Authentication (android.permission.USE_BIOMETRIC)

Purpose: Enables you to securely unlock protected apps and settings using your device fingerprint or facial recognition.

5. Foreground Services (android.permission.FOREGROUND_SERVICE, android.permission.FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USE, android.permission.FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MICROPHONE)

Purpose: Required to run continuous anti-theft monitoring services (motion detection, pocket sensor, USB charger disconnection alerts, and clap detector) reliably in the background while your device is locked or screen is off, accompanied by an ongoing perceptible notification.

6. Full-Screen Intent (android.permission.USE_FULL_SCREEN_INTENT)

Purpose: Required for core anti-theft alarms and security lockscreens. This permission allows TouchGuard to instantly wake your device screen and present high-priority emergency sirens or security lock overlays over the lockscreen when an anti-theft sensor is breached or an unauthorized user attempts to open a guarded app.

7. Boot Completed (android.permission.RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED)

Purpose: Automatically restarts your active security protection shields when your device reboots so your security is never disabled unexpectedly.

8. Notifications (android.permission.POST_NOTIFICATIONS)

Purpose: Displays active security status notifications and warning alerts when security breaches or motion detections occur.

9. Wake Lock & Vibration (android.permission.WAKE_LOCK, android.permission.VIBRATE)

Purpose: Wakes up the device screen and triggers haptic vibrations during security alarms and breach alerts.

10. Phone State (android.permission.READ_PHONE_STATE)

Purpose: Used locally on your device to detect incoming and active phone calls. When the "Pause Siren & Vibration on Calls" configuration setting is enabled, this permission allows TouchGuard to prevent anti-theft sirens from sounding, disable device vibrations, or instantly silence an active alarm during incoming or ongoing phone calls. This ensures anti-theft alarms and intense vibrations do not disrupt important calls or blast loudly in your ear. TouchGuard operates strictly offline: we never read, monitor, store, or transmit your call history or phone numbers.

3. Third-Party Services, Ads, & Firebase Integration

While core security functions operate locally offline, the app may integrate trusted third-party services (such as Google AdMob and Firebase) to support advertisements, crash diagnostics, and cloud messaging:
